Hi, my Norton subscription expires in 4 days, and as always I have a dilema what to upgrade to?
my choices are :
-Norton 360 Upgrade
-Norton Internet Security 2008 Upgrade/Norton SystemWorks Upgrade Basic Edition

The 360 version socts $60, and the other 2 combined packs cost $55(as a renewal), so the price is not of reall concern to me

Which of these is better? Which offers more? the 360, or the internet security combined with the basic System Works....btw I heard that the 2008 version doesnt hogg down the system as the 2006 version did (the one that I currently have), and im not certain about the 360 version, also the System works seems to NOT have a subscription, for updating it, only the "regular" System works has it, but i guess maby thats because it contains the antivirus(which is in the internet sevurity 2008 package), symantec is quite vague about it, so thats why im confused.

Personally im leaning towards the internet security 2008 + System works Basick package than the 360, but maby im mistaken
All info much apprecieated.

I would go with NIS 2008 but not SystemWorks. I beta tested NIS 2008 and it seemed to work very well.

^ thank you for the information, the only reazon im going with SW, and NIS 2008 is because they are together, 2 for $55 as a package, and my only alternative was to go with the Norton 360 upgrade package, and since I always used NIS + SW, + some other tools like acronis, and partition magic, I got used to it ;)

For me, I would disagree with both.

Norton tends to be such a resource Hog.

I would recommend checking out Kaspersky.

They have been rated one of the best, and they have x64 support, unlike Norton.
My personal favorite, just my two cents.

^ thx for the info, if the comparison #'s provided on that site are correct, then I would say that that Kaspersky antivirus is much better, the thing is it would cost me about $130 instead of $55, for simmilar packages, for now im not using the 64 bit windows, and I liked nortons disc defragmenter, and other apps in the works package....if kaspersky would be a bit less expansive the i would go for it i guess, since it seems to offer much more updated protection.
