I'm logged in as the admin so you would think I could do what I want on my own PC - yet I keep getting the Your not allowed to delete this folder.

I went to properties and thought I allowed myself the grand privilege to remove things I don't want, but Vista has determined I'm not allowed. So how can one turn this prompting stuff off as it's getting real annoying for me. I want to delete whatever I click on and choose to.

Thanks for any help

Register or log in to remove.

Which directory are trying to delete? (Not 'Windows' I hope! :))

I know some directories are system's related but when I tried for example to do something in 'Program Files', I must confirm my action but I can do it.

Do you multiple account? May be you are not the owner of that directory?

It finally let me when I started up in the morning - maybe the dll's of this folder were still active - it was online poker program and wasn't installing right and didnt show up in the uninstall feature so i deleted the good old fashioned way and now its gone.

Thanks

You should run a Virus scan and a Spyware scan, just to be safe of those programs. Also, run a registry cleaner to remove any junk.
