Help !!

Pulling my hair out over this. Must be simple but not to me?

Fire Fox will not remember my username and password on any sites I visit. I have cookies enabled, have Fire Fox as my default, have save passwords checked in the options, it even shows the sites I have the passwords and usernames saved for but when I visit the sites, it will not remember them or fill them in?

Must be missing a simple setting somewhere? Does it on both my XP and my Vista partition. Sure would like to use Fire Fox but not if it does this. IE 7 is looking better all the time?
