I was wondering if there is any way to integrate desktop icons into your background. For instance, if you have a picture of an island as your background, is there any thing I can do so if I click a specific palm tree, firefox will open? Thanks.

Not easily, if at all. The closet I could think would be using Active Desktop's Web items, but then you'd have to code it to do that stuff.. it'd be a huge pain or time consuming process.
