What was your first computer?

Mine was a Tandy 1000 I think - UK brand name - Radio Shack in the States. I bought it in 1986 when my old electric Olivetti typewriter gave up on me. The OS was TRSDOS which never quite caught on when faced with opposition from some MSDOS thing or other.

To my surprise, having no computer experience whatever and having been told by computing types that I was far too stupid to understand these things, after three weeks I was doing all my correspondence and business accounts on it. Two years later I bought my first laptop which I still have - NEC grey import with 32Kb of RAM.

First PC owned: 386/25 running MSDOS

First PC Build: Pentium/75 - 8MB ram - Soundblaster - video card - 160MB HDD (plug n' play did not work so well then - but damned good preparation for when installs don't go as smooth as they should)
