is 2GB sufficient? I read an article over at AnandTech saying that 2GB is honestly only barely enough for Vista.. and newer games will require as much as 4GB..
the current prices of DDR2 rams are cheaper this week than last week.. so i need to deicde soon.. do i get another 2GB ram?

There's an awful lot you can do in Vista to disable unnecessary services to reduce its memory footprint, but having said that 2GB should be easily enough for most users IMO.
if your getting 64bit honestly. go overboard and get 4GB minimum.
When i installed 64bit it froze every 15-20 sec with only 2GB.
A tip for 64Bit Vista... only put in 1 stick of memory and install the OS. then once its installed and all updates are installed. THEN put in more memory, i have installed Vista 9 unfortunate times and that works the best for keeping it running solid. also DO NOT install anything before updates. HUG THE UPDATES UNTIL THEY ARE DONE!
