WinXP Installation Hangs @ 17%

New System..Abit IP35Pro,Crucial Balx 6400 2gig,WD Rap74,PlexDVD,Corsair HX620PSU..

My WinXP CD is a Pre-SP2,upgrade from WinMilemCD..Everything went fine at first, XP saw HD, part. & format, Started loading files, Hangs @ 17%...Reboot= HD no longer shows in BIOS...Clear BIOS, HD is Back...Try again to Load XP, Same thing, Hangs @ 18%...What is going on??.. How do I get this System up???

Memory issue. Around that percent it starts using memory or something. Had the same issue a while back - I pulled out one module and it loaded fine. Put the module back in and it ran fine.

For some reason something screws up with your memory configure. Try taking one module out and installing.
