The previous Revisions of this Architecture on the second link is filed from back in the 90's are they the grandfather arc of the K10?(K6-K7-K8??)

Maybe some of the engineers could help out with what these are?

Anybody willing to help with knowing if it's actually K10?

is the k10 the successor to the k9?

Rumor has it was a real dog...

NO!!

Seiko is the owner of that patent.

The patent is dated 2003.

There is NO mention of HT.

There is NO mention of L3 Cache.

There is mention of this being a RISC arch... NOT CISC which Intel and AMD are based.

That K9 is one dog of a processor :)

Sorry about that.... No really!!

Okay, thanks just needed a revision of the article. Was doing a filter search on Google Scholar and came across it, seemed like the K-arc because the patent refreshes dated back to 2002,2005, 2006 to 2007 making it seem like patent filing for Arc revisions of AMD's K-series CPUs

Yo,

You are NOT likely to find an "All in one" patent for either AMD or Intel Processors.

You are likely to find parts/concepts patented like:

Shared L2 cache - coherency

Advanced Prefetch - algorithm

Shared L3 cache - Differing owner?

Also, take note that it is likely that IBM holds many of the patents for which AMD operates. Whereas Intel is likely to hold most of their own.

Alright, Thanks
Noted and kept for future reference.
