Old nt 4 server

we have an old NT4 server here at work that was taken offline. it was on a old domain that does not exist anymore. after it was taken offline i was told to bring it back up because it has some files on it that need to be retrieved. well i logged in no problem and changed the name of the server because the name of this old server was taken and put on another newer server so i changed it and rebooted now i can not login into to it anymore. I tried the same account under the local admin does not work. how can i fix this.

never used nt 4.. if you just need to recover data how about LIVE OS .....
Xp live comes with Hiren's boot cd many of if available..

What about just pulling the disk and putting it in another PC to read it?
