More Information

I'm trying to use Windows Vista home, I have an 80gb Western Digital SATA drive plugged into the SATAII0 port. BIOS sees the drive on bootup. Vista asks me for the driver, I got on gigabyte's website and downloaded Vista driver for SATA drive and put it on my external seagate HD USB. I can browse to the file that holds the driver however nothing shows up with the box checkmarked saying "show compatible drivers". When I uncheck the box, then I can see the drivers, however they will not load or make the drive work. Please help as I am a tard and this stupid motherboard only has one IDE slot and I need both optical drives and HD's... I don't know what else to try, please help me...
Mayday! Tard in trouble!
