Thank you for your help in advance.
I need to remove the address bar in IE7. We are finally locking down the computers we have at work because the employees are having too much fun installing viruses. :fou:
I got a tool from TechNet http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/bb219543.aspx that has taken care of most of the restrictions i need :D, but the address bar is still there. :non:
I found a registry edit that said it should work but did not: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/iefaq.htm#noaddressband
Any help with this would be great.

so if you are disabling the address bar what do the users need IE for then? what can they do, wouldn't having some kind of internet filter have been a better idea. you can still type address' in windows explorer address bar, create links in Word and get to websites without the address bar.

why don't you get a really good AV and portect the file system that way, it'll stop all bad download instantly, NOD 32(IMHO the best), has a 30 day trail period fully functional, and Super Anti Spyware is OK
