Fedora 10 Linux display driver

i installed Fedora core 9.94 in an acer 2220 machine & it cannot start the x server coming the terminal window

What are your specs? If the 2220 is as old as I think it might be, it may not be able to run the newer Linux distributions.
Fedora dropped the core after Fedora Core 6.
9.94 is a beta version and I wouldn't recommend it, even though it should work for the most part.
If you have a newer laptop or desktop, download Fedora 10 or wait for Fedora 11 due to be released this month.
