I read several posts concerning Win2000 Pro installation on a machine with a SATA HDD. I have a Win2000 CD with key and SP4. The machine is a Toshiba A505 Satellite laptop. I removed the 500 GB HDD with Win7 Ultimate on it because it wouldn't run my software. I installed and set up a 320 GB HDD and went to load Win2000Pro on it. The CD booted and the files "loaded", but the system "hung" when "Starting Windows 2000" appeared, had to power down to clear the hang. Are there other drivers that have to be downloaded or other "hacking" necessary to load Win2000 on this machine?
