Probably a bad hard drive, can you get to the BIOS and see if it's detected? What exactly happens when you start the PC?

I had this problem a few months ago, I turned my computer on and I kept getting the same thing. I freaked out and thought I finally hosed my computer lol.

Anyways the reason your getting this message about wanting to boot from a HD (Hard Drive) is because your computer is detecting multiple possible drives to boot from even though there may be nothing on the drives it detected.

Basically if you have any USB's plugged into your computer, CD's, etc, remove them and then reboot.

If the problem still occurs after removing any external drives like a USB or something of that nature than look a bit more carefully because something is plugged into your computer. If it's asking where it want's to boot from that means your OS is confused as to which drive it needs to read to boot up.
