Hi all,

I have installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit on AMD 64 4000+ system with 4Gb of ram, however in system menu shows that the windows detects only 3.25Gb. Any ideas why this is so?
Thanks

There is probably a setting in your Bios to enable more - You'll have to check the manual for your Mobo to see exactly what that is.

------------------------------ Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground? Or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group?

Look for something like "Memory Remapping". Also check your manufacturer make sure is supported (should be).

Hi all,

Yes, I know why! :)

Steps:
------
1) Uninstall 2GB (max installed = 2GB).
2) Restart to Vista.
3) Install the patch AND reboot to Vista.
4) Shutdown.
5) Install all RAM.
6) Restart to Vista.

Should be fine.
