Microsoft's Private Folder application may not be so private

Yesterday we wrote about Microsoft's free Private Folder 1.0 application that encrypts and password protects a folder on a desktop. According to our research and the astute eyes of one of our readers, the contents of the folder may not be so private. Johnny Granlund emailed us saying that he was able to access the folder simply by rebooting into Safe Mode. However upon further inspection, we found that files inside of the folder were still encrypted. Read more

i downloaded this trial version of counterspy 2 from sunbelt and i dont want it anymore and i cant remove it, The help says to go to control panel and add remove programs but when i do, its the only program listed there that doesnt give me the option to remove, change or anything to it, it just says used rarely and thats it, all the other ones will let me remove it. whats the deal, anyone know? i should be able to uninstall this bs, and i cant get it to work, im a noob , help me :)

Open Windows Explorer and find PROGRAM FILES on your hard drive. Find the folder with the program you want to delte and delete it from Windows explorer. You may have to restart the system to complete the delete sequence.

You could also reinstall the program, which will usually let you then delete it from Add/Remove
