I am having some problems with my new windows xp. I just upgraded my PC and everything is new except hard drives pretty much. I had an OEM version of XP home on my comp before and had a buddy of mine give me a copy of Windows which is most likely a VLK version, but it is XP Professional SP2 and I seem to be missing sound recorder, games and most of the entertainment options along with text-to-speech, could someone please point me in the right direction as to what I should do or can do to get things back to normal? Thanks.

Why don't you just reinstall your copy of XP Home OEM? I you need to call MS for activation just explain that your motherboard went bad.

As long as you have the COA Product Key, borrow a XP Home OEM CD.
