I have recently bought a acer l320 slimline desktop from pc world ,it comes preloaded with vista home premium ,im trying to put xp on ,i boot with the XP cd......i get to the press ENTER load XP ,or R for Repair or F3 to quit screen and i press enter to load Xp ,but nothing happens ,i cannot load XP at all ,vista yes but no xp .....can anyone pls help me with this ,im not that gr8 with pc's but i kinda figure its to do with the drivers on the xp cd ,it might not be loading the correct drivers for the Hdd controllers or something?????
Pls i would appreciate if any has a step by step solution for me.

When you hit Enter do you have the option to format the hdd? Microsoft generally won't let you install an earlier version of Windows over a later version so you have to do a full format before the installation Before to download all the XP drivers for the machine and put them on a CD because the Vista drives likely won't work with XP
