I'm thinking about installing linpus lite, on my very old pc. I just need to know first if it has a torrenting software like utorrent or bittorrent. If it doesn't which small distro of linux does? Don't say ubuntu, my old pc has 192mb of ram
transmission is a fairly lightweight bittorrent client. It should be available in just about any distribution's repository. Also I have no experience with Linpus, but I have heard good things (in terms of light weight) about Fluxbuntu (Ubuntu+fluxbox WM instead of GNOME), Damn Small Linux (DSL), Puppy Linux, and I ran Xubuntu (Ubuntu with XFCE instead of GNOME) for a while on an old laptop and it ran fairly well. But yeah, transmission is a good bit torrent client, and if you really miss utorrent, you can always run it via WINE. I did that before I knew about transmission and it seemed to work fine.
