Ok so built a new system for a friend of mine and fired up all right using the ECS G51GM-M motherboard and everything went fine but then once it posted it says that it cant see my keyboard. Although the mouse lit up (mouse is usb) so I put a converter onto the USB mouse so that it would work in the normal mouse input but the mouse didn't light up. I know that the keyboard that we used works so my next test will be to see if I can find a USB Keyboard and see if that will work. So wondering if any of you have run into this or have any other ideas on what is wrong?

is this a PS/2 or USB keyboard?
if USB you may have to enable USB support by BIOS instead of OS for it to work in the BIOS (needless to say that means that you need a PS/2 kb to do this)

Double check with motherboard manual that you have keyboard and mouse in correct ports. If so, get motherboard exchanged under warranty!
