Hey guys, I'm getting pissed with Vista, don't ask why. I may be thinking about rolling back to XP, but there seems to be a lot of versions out there, which is the best for gaming?

I personally use both winXP pro and winXP x64. For memory hungry games you'll see a benefit to using x64 regardless of whether the game was designed for 64-bit because x64 can allocate more memory to a single application. Most games here on out will at least run in 64-bit even if there not natively programed for it.

D-link wont make 64-bit drivers so I'm still dependent on 32bit winXP for internet. But having heard plenty of user experiences regarding Microsoft's latest, I'd say your better off with winXP x64 than Vista. Just don't expect the same frequency of driver updates.

Hmm allright I have a D Link router but I have never really downloaded any drivers for it : / It should work fine? Thats so weird I never thought about internet.

I'm dependent on a wirless D-link NIC where my computers located. There's no problem with my integrated Ethernet in 64-bit though.

Just check for XP x64 drivers for any network cards before you scrap Vista. It's always a good idea to have network drivers on hand. Everything your running should have x64 drivers available.

Hey you know what I've decided to make my system a dual booter :) I have a really fast 150GB raptor in my PC that is just sitting there, so I will throw XP on there and just install games for XP and keep all my media on my 750GB hardrive that Vista is currently installed on.

32 bit. Some games are uninstallable in 64X
