I've been unhappy with Windows Vista, so I switched back to XP. I exported my Contacts out, and I'd like to use them with XP again. Is there any way to do this, or are they "stuck"?

If your talking about you E Mail address book and you exported it before you installed XP, you should be able to import them given Outlook has an import function. Just need to go to the folder you exported them to

Well...when I exported the Contacts from Vista, I apparently neglected to select an output format. So now, the Contacts exist AS the Vista-format Contacts.

I am assuming I have to install Vista and export them all over again as an XP-compatible format just to use them in XP...am I correct???

I would think the export format would be determined by Outlook or Outlook express, I don't use Vista so not absolutely sure. They can also be exported as various types of Text Files, e.g., LDIG or cvs, among others. If you haven't done so, try to import them using the different import formats available. You could also install Thunderbird, the free Mozilla E Mail program, and see if you can import them into Thunderbird. If you can, you can export them from Thunderbird and then import them into Outlook or what ever E Mail program you're using.
