More Information

Hey folks,

My old video card went west (lots of pixelated screens and now nothing). Installed a new Video Card but am stuck getting the old 0x9c Machine Check Error when I try to boot normally. I can boot in Safe Mode and install the new video card drivers. If I try to boot to Safe Mode w Networking, I get the MCE.

Thoughts? What additional details can I provide?

Ciao,
Old Man

This is what Microsoft has to say, which would suggest trying the following:
Clear the CMOS, instructions will be in the computer or mobo manual.
Try a Windows Repair from the CD and reinstall all your drivers.
Do a clean install of Windows

Could be bad memory or PSU but if it happened after you installed a new video card, very possible it's driver related given you can boot into Safe Mode
