RHEL5 is primarily for servers and will not recognize the latest and greatest hardware. Is there a reason you want RHEL5? A desktop distribution like Fedora 11 or Ubuntu 9.10 should work a lot better. If you really really really have to have RHEL5 try RHEL 5.4 there is a chance it might work. RHEL 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 probably won't work. Good luck
If you reaally wanna get RHEL5 no matter what, you might wanna try if it works in VirtualBox.
Great point amdfangirl Xen, KVM, Virtualbox and VMware should all work perfectly on a Linux host ( Fedora or Ubuntu, etc ) with RHEL 5 as the guest. Virtualbox is probably the easiest of them all to setup, it'll take you about 15 minutes. Head over to http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads download the fedora 11 rpm rpm -i VirtualBox-3.0.8_53138_fedora11-1.x86_64.rpm And follow the rest of the instructions. Good luck
Or get the .deb for Ubuntu 9.10. Good luck
