mouse, monitor, os.
What are your uses? It strikes me as unbalanced but with certain usage would be fine.

I would add:

-320GB+ storage hard drive

-Higher end ram (probably something with D9 chips in them since pretty much everything else in your rig is high end)

-Tube of Arctic Silver 5

Well.. Wait untill they releace some decent info on 2900 for one.. if they get nearly as hot as some of the sites suggest I would drop Quad core for Dual and got a decent quite watercooling instead(unless you have extra cash to get both), otherwise the noise 2 cards gonna make will drive you nuts even if you put 7 speakers and a subwoofer on full :)

About the raptor.. there to many reviews out from the sites I respect that suggest that current raptors are becoming absolete. Get 2 500 GB X 7200.10 or ES's instead and put them in RAID 0.

Better RAM like Crucial I suppose are welcome.

And what did ASUS or EVGA ever did to you that you are getting a stock mainboard from Intel for a rig this good??

Anyhow if you hook all of that to a monitor or beamer and put all of that in a decent casing (to prevent a mess on your table)... it should work just fine :)

Micron D9 chips are the best ones made. This is one of the G.Skill sets that have those chips
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000)
Always a good idea to see what choices are coming, I would not wait more than a week or there is always more waiting.
The e6600 is a better CPU until the true Quads come out. Q6600 is a hybrid 2x2 Quad.
