I am using XP home SP2 and am using ok hardware. But sometimes when I start a new window in IE6 and start using it my computer bombs. Nothing can start (not even task manager) and when my cursor rolls over the start button it goes blank and most icons are blank as well. When I start the shutdown window some times it is scrwed up like using the nonbuttony interface or even just nothing. It is not a memory issue (tested with memtest) and my computer is stable (no overclock and this never happens in a game) So anyone got any advice?

Well recently something like this happened to my computer and it was a virus,make sure you do a complete virus scan before everything,if you can better to run kaspersky online scanner if you don't have kspersky installed because the virus affected me was detected by kaspersky. If that doesn't work try on safe mode..
