I have an option to download, for free, windows vista business.

Is this like regular Vista, but has added features? Most people talk about home, or ultimate, or something like that. Does business have all those features also, and just some added features for businesses, or is it specifically specialized?

Thanks

Business edition also allows you to create Virtual PC's where Home Basic and Home premium do not support Virtual PC.

I don't believe you will get media center on business. Otherwise business has pretty much everything home premium does. Off the top of my head.

You may have to install the free games, solitaire and the like, you usually get by default. It's on there but you have to go to 'install windows components" to use them. That's how it was on Vista Enterprise at least.

No, it's all good, think XP, but add in aero and take out media center, games and all just fine, has a few little side business apps. But I run it on my home pc, as my old university had them for 21-22 bucks and only offered vista in the business version. So got that, and works great. Would get it again if I could get another.

Btw, don't think it has all the little free solitaire games etc. Still a good OS though.

Business comes with security designed to be on a Domain.

Home is the toned down version of Business. Businesses have different uses for the OS than Home users. Basically, if you're going to be using a domain, you need Business. If you are not, stick with a version of Home.
