New Plextor drive "obliterates" data on CDs/DVDs with laser blasts

Plextor has announced a new drive that erases CDs and DVDs by blasting them with laser light. The PlexEraser PX-OE100E "obliterates" the data layer on almost every format of recordable CD and DVD and can even handle dual-layer discs. Each disc takes about three minutes to erase and the drive then marks the disc to show it has been processed. Read more

How do i erase one of them in Boot INI?

right click on my computer - system properties - advanced - startup and recovery settings

In BOOT.INI near the bottom it should say [operating system] and under this they'll probably 2 long lines starting with multi(0)disk(0), etc. This is what you'd delete but make sure you delete the correct one. I had to do it a while ago but can't remember how I figured out which line to delete, maybe just got lucky :) . This of course will not delete the install but the PC won't look for it at start up. If you're not sure which to delete you can reduce the {bootloader timeout] from 30sec to however low you can. Windows will still look for the 2nd installation but only for as long as you tell it to, speeds up loading Windows.
