hi i recently tried to freshly install windows xp proffessional sp1a CD and in sticks at the welcome to steup screen where it says to press enter to install and so on.. so i tried to use a different CD which was home edition with service pack 2 and when i pressed enter it went to the other screenthat you have to press F8 at. so i thought i was getting through but wen i finished installin it it rebooted and a BSOD came up with

i dont y that comes up,, or wen i use my xp professional CD it doesnt go any further than the welcome screen.
plz help.

well it can be a memory issue, RAM get more sensitive to problems when you are installing windows so before installation try running memtest86+ couple of hours and check your ram

so how do i run memtest86+?
