First off, this is not about piracy. This is a serious question.
I recently built a budget computer, and after I get my graphics card, pretty much the only thing left would be to upgrade to Vista.
My question, is is there any way to download Vista and install it for free, preferably by a legal method? I have seen several opportunities before, but I always seem to reach them late.
not currently, the free ones beta versions.
there are tricks to put off activation
see the current issue of Maximum PC
you can put off activation for 1 year
if you need an install cd ask a friend to barrow there anytime upgrade cd.
the one that comes with any new computer
You can do a full install from any anytime cd, just leave the product key blank, pick the version you want to install. you have 30 days to activate unless you use the tricks in Maximum PC
if you buy it OEM, you pay next to nothing (i payed £70 a week after it came out). it perfectly legal, you pass all WGA, and you have a real KEY so activation is done istantly.
look at your National online PC shop as it where (UK, scan.co.uk; US, newegg.com)
Thanks for the replies. Currently, I am not ready to buy Vista. When I do I was planning on buying an OEM copy.
I might try the anytime CD to try Vista out. I know a friend who might have gotten one with his computer.
