Machine Serial number

Hello Experts!!!

We have one hp proliant DL385 G2 server running with Windows 2000 server. On the server (h/w) i don't find the machine serial number. Hence; i need to find it from Windows 2000 server command prompt.

Therefore; is there any such command to find the machine serial number from Windows command prompt?

i understand that Windows 2003 onwards "wmic get bios serialnumber" provide the machine serial number.

You can use a simple script to get this info. Windows 2000 has a built-in windows script host interface, which you can update manually if you like.
