How important is graphic card in current duo core system?

would a weak card cause window vista to crash?
What is the minimum DDR ram need for card now?

For gaming and vista the gpu is pretty important.

A graphics card, no matter how powerful, can not cause vista to crash, unless it was overclocked, and thus less stable. Although older cards will not support the "aero" interface, which is the only thing it has over XP imho.
