Congratulations...You are correct! Windows Vista 32 bit is restricted to 3 - 3.5 GB of DDR2 Ram. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929605

I just installed 2 GB DDR2 PC2-800MHz Ram. Properties is reporting 3586 MB now. I am tapped out on my 32 bit Vista machine which is fine because it was a screamer to begin with. My Vista machine runs flawlessly!

It depends on your configuration - Single card GPU setups can reasonably expect to see up to 3.25GB on 32 bit windows operating systems.

I currently have a 2x1 GB ddr2 533mhz dual channel 4-4-4-12 overclocked to 600mhz with the same timing... I have a single evga 7900GS video card....

Now should I add a 2x512 MB of ram for dual channel and so that I can have a 3GB of ram total....

Bottom line, I want to max out the memory on my vista 32 bit without buying so much memory that I will not able to use it... Any suggestion would be appreciated, thanx!!!
