I tried it out and it was total crap. In the two hours I used it, it froze, crashed and BSOD'ed on me. It also broke my virus scanner/firewall (Trendmicro Internet Security) and Firefox. It could be due to device driver and program incompatibilities with SP3, but that still means that it is totally useless until either MS fixes it for RC2 or everyone else patches their programs and device drivers to work with SP3.

working great for me been using sp3 for a week now the extra security is awsome however the downside is with the home networking and webserver not being able to negotiate with other computers properly.
I now have to manually browse for computer with sp3. Asgallant must have something wrong wiff is files being corrupted or something, I installed this also on my neighbor computer and he didnt even know I changed his system to sp3 but did mention how much better his system is running

If we are seeing Release Candidates now, that probably means we'll be seeing the final version in January (I hope!). I think MS cannot play with release dates too much. SP3 for XP can wait a little, SP1 for Vista can´t. I haven't tried myself, but it seems there's more than a few angry people about Vista.

Well, its nice that it works for somebody. Maybe I'll try it again if I decide to do a reinstall of XP over the winter break.
