I keep reading about how all the new Intel CPUs completely dominate the AMD competition. Is this the beginning of the end for AMD??? I seriously hope they can pull through this difficult time because if Intel gains an monopoly over the CPU market we are all F-U-C-K-E-D

Uhhh. You're kind of new here. If you're going to start a discussion like this you need to start with facts, links, etc... You have none. There are already many, many threads dedicated to AMD's financial situation.

Don't sweat it though. The big thing you need to remember that is if you're going to create a new thread it really ought to be based on some sort of newly released fact and backed up with a link to your source(s).

One new one pops up every time I come here. Mostly from people either trolling or linking to an article from a questionable source that exaggerates AMD's condition.

Yeah, they aren't doing too good right now, but they've been through worse. I doubt they will disappear anytime soon.

heh apart from the FX series from nvidia, nvidia has always had an upper hand, and Intel too apart from the Last Pentium 4's always had the upper hand too (and even then, prices and marketing kept them on top in sales anyhow).

There both tough companies, they'll survive, and besides, us "custom" "aware" consumers who know - we are a small market, businesses will buy hundreds of computers for there staff and aslong as the price is right will buy - alot will have ATi and AMD based components no doubt, how do you think the Pentium 4 and Pentium D's survived so long? DELL!
