You'll want to backup your data first.

Delete all your partitions on the hard drive.

I'd create the 1st part 512MB type 83 ext3 for /boot

2nd part 1/3rd of the hard drive space type 7 HPFS/NTFS for windoze

3rd part 1/3rd of the hard drive space type 8e for Linux

4th part 1/3rd of the hard drive space type a5 for freeBSD

You'll want to test freeBSD first to see if it works on your laptop, it may not work natively so you might think about running it in a VM like VirtualBox.

If that's the case do not make a 4th partition just divide the drive in half and use half for Linux and half for windoze.

Install windoze first then Linux with GRUB.

Good luck :)

I feel responsible to warn people of ubuntu 9.10, it was a major failure. 9.04 is great, its stable and works perfectly.

I dont know how, just about everyone i know who has tried it agrees that it was a failure. I have tried it at least 3 times and it's horrible. 904 is perfect and stable.

9.10 is a hit and miss release. For some it works fine, for others it's horrible.
