Local settings for MS Access

Forum Applications : Office Local settings for MS Access

Hello,
It's been a while since I posted on THG forums but I have a question which will help me sort out some problems on the PCs at my workplace.

There is a MS Access database, stored on the server, which is accessed by 5 or 6 machines. This database has a frontend which runs queries on the database and is fairly easy to use for those who have no knowledge of Access.

There is a drop-down box which lists our clients alphabetically by surname, which should be in black and displays their postcode (or zip code, if you will) to the right, in blue.

Someone has managed to click on something and made the black text (the names) the same colour as the background, i.e. white text on a white background. The postcode still appears.

I have tried changing the text colour of this drop-down box but it only affects the postcode, not the names.

This only seems to affect the machine that this one person uses, and it doesn't matter who logs on, this still applies. Other machines are fine and this person can log on to another machine and use the database without problem.

The problem must be confined to a local setting on the machine in question. Is there a file on the C drive that I can copy from an unaffected PC to replace the local Access settings on the affected machine and sort it out, or is it a registry issue?

Any help would be gratefully received! Kind regards,
Andy Aldrich
