Pb with ubuntu ...

Hello,obuntu doesnt see an added hd. I installed ubuntu on a partition of a hard drive sata (on this disk XP on other partition). I added an other HD on IDE; ubuntu doesn't see (XP does). Anyone has a tip ? Thanks in advance to the community
