Hey guys I have this comp here at my house lying around, want to upgrade its videocard to be able to play CS:S / BF2 decently at med - high at 1024/768.

XP3000+ @2.1ghz
1gb pc-2700
GeForce 6200 (is broken now :()
120gb 7200rpm hdd
350w PSU

what video card should I get to run CS:S / BF2? I was thinking of getting a 6800 or x800 from ebay for 40-60$, any suggestions?

And do you guys think 350w would be a problem? I plugged in all my settings to a calculator and it didnt seem to be but idk.

thanks

Those two are both good choices the better being the X1650PRO, and run BF 2 and CS:S at medium settings decently, though your CPU will SERVELY hampers the full potential of those cards.

You would get more raw fps from a x800 series card and 350 is the psu req on the box. I had a x800xl and it was faster than my x1650xt i have at the min but you dont get any of the newest features with one.

That is shader 3 and hdr lighting so unless you feel you need them one of the x800s is a good call. Im not sure maybee someone else can confirm but if you are in to overclocking i think its the gto version thats best for that.

Try ebay. You might get lucky with a 6800 series for your price range.

I do agree with those suggestions, but the CPU won't hold those cards back.
