More Information

I have an ipod touch that when I plug into my xp home machine, I get an "access denied" error message during installation. I am logged in as admin, have checked for viruses, etc. and have found several microsoft articles relating to upper/lower filters in the registry to edit/remove, etc. but nothing seems to work. I have even called apple tech support and they are equally clueless. I know somewhere in the registry there must some permission setting that I am missing. On a laptop that I own, the ipod loads in seconds with no issues, so I know the unit itself is ok. Anyone out there know where I should be looking? thanks in advance.
