Makes me curious is to how DDR3 is going to turn out! Even though I will probably drop in whatever quad core I can into this system when prices drop and add another 2gb of DDR2 and sit on it for a while. nice find!

Perhaps NDA will be officially over by then and X38 will show up? There are a couple reviews around, but maybe the big sites will follow up on June 3.

if what they are saying is correct about the CPU+IGP RD, then Intel is gaining a 1 year advantage over AMD in this integration, of course this is going to be in the form of a MCP (multichip package), unless AMD decides to go for MCP as well.

I do recall this. Perhaps when Intel said after Wolfdale, techarp thought they meant a quarter after, thought they could've meant Nehalem in 2008.

So Intel will soon be over 12 months ahead of AMD on desktop technology Penryn vs X2 (Barcy doesn't make the desktop until Q4) that's not good for market share or the bottom line.
