I have 4 HDs in my PC at the moment.
2 1.5 Gb/s drives in raid 1
2 3 Gb/s drives in raid 0

Would I lose the 3 Gb/s speed if I made all the drives a raid 0 or a raid 0+1?

I don't know. Some controllers will only work at the rate as the slowest drive. You might want to try asking the manufacturer of the board to see if doing RAID0+1 would kill the 3GB/s transfer rate with SATA1 disks as your RAID1 array (or whatever your configuration would be). My guess would be that doing RAID0+1 will set it to 1.5GB/s, while keeping them separate would allow your 3GB/s disks to retain their transfer speed. You'd then have to do manual backups or something like that though. Don't quote me on that ;) It's just a guess. Talk to the manufacturer as every controller is different.
