I've got about 3000 MP3-albums in as many folders, and I want to make ZIP-files of all of them so I can back them up to Rapidshare.

Is there any software that can make 3000 ZIP-files of all these 3000 folders in a batch operation, so I don't have to do it manually?

I'd really appreciate an answer, because if anything with that hard drive I'll lose all of my collection... (Since another hard drive died I don't have space anywhere else.)

Actually someone found out for me:

Use WinRar. Select all the folders you want to compress, right click and select "Add to archive..". Under "Files", check 'Put each file to seperate archive'.

That worked for me!

The problem with compressing such a large folder could cause data compression errors if compressed to much
