maybe i have a solution, i downloaded a recommended sound driver realtek ac'97 or something, and im trying to install it on my pc, but my problem now is to fix the network so i can put the driver from this pc on the other one, since i dont have a cd/dvd burner on this pc

When you reinstalled windows, did you install the motherboard drivers off the cd that came with the motherboard? or is this a pre-built like a Dell, HP, etc....?
Look under device manager and see if you have any yellow question marks or exclamation marks.

Right click on MY COMPUTER and select properties. Goto the hardware tab at the top and then select Device Manager.
