I have a MIO 168 with a 256MB storage card on which I like to run a GPS
mapping program MioMap (a rebadged Destinator I think); Traveli, a GPS
speed camera detectorand GPS Dash. These all run through GpsGate.
Natrually enough, my MIO runs low on memory and shuts down progs that are
in the background the most desasterous of these is GpsGate, as this stops
any of the remaining programs running.
All programs are installed in their default folders.
Would there be any milage in uninstalling from 'main memory' and
reinstalling on the storage card?

Yes I would do that. Save your internal memory so it can be used as RAM
as opposed to Storage.
Although while on this topic, does PocketPC load whole programs at once
into its RAM memory, or does it load portions of them as needed??
