Just had a friend call me with a bit of a problem.

Seems the CD's that he burnt in XP with the "Send to CD" facility now don't read in Vista. Did a bit of a google and found that this seems to be a common issue.

Apparently it comes up with the directory structure but the files just aren't there at all.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Is he trying to read from the same drive that burnt the disk? If not then it is more likely the media itself (ie the brand of disk, Memorex, Sony etc.) is to blame. It's not at all uncommon for drives to be picky about what brand of media they will read.
