Hello, how are you all? ^^ Those are the basic specs for my newest build. All I want to know is this: Will this build perform well in photoshop if I buy Vista Home Premium 32 bit version? I want to go with Vista, because it's new, but don't want to sacrifice performance. So what do you say, vista or XP?
LoL this is very similir to performance of my system. I have Vista 32-bit and everythings plays very nice and works great. Also because it's a 32-bit OS it did not recognize the full 4GB. But it detected roughly 3.5GB of the 4 which was not too bad. I was able to pick up a legit OEM vista basic deal for $73 at viosoftware.com Check it out.

For photoshop it shouldnt matter too much. If you check the 32 vs 64 bit analysis (http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/02/15/vista_workshop/) They state that "Even in some memory intensive scenarios such as opening files in Photoshop CS3 with a total file size of 3 GB..." so even if the OS limits total ram to 3.5gbs you should be able to run it relatively smoothly. Vista will operate the memory more efficiently there are those who despise it atm though becuase of its bugs, I plan to wait to install my vista ultimate on my main comp untill the final/offical SP1 update comes out for vista.
