Dual screens software? help

Hello, I can't seem to find any programs that will allow me to switch between my two monitors without leaving the full screen program that is both of them. Idealy i'd like to be able to say, shift f1 while playing a full screen game on my main monitor and switch to my secondary monitor leaving my full screen up with the game still running. Just to clarify this would mean i can move my mouse around and click / type things and it would not shrink my current game, reopenings a hassle. Plus i would like to be able to play two games at once.
Any ideas on what kind of software is lying around that would suit my needs. Google failed me =(
