Text to speech software

Hello and thanks for the reading.

I am currently a student and my schools curriculum has us doing lots (and I mean lots of writing). I am also fairly busy with a job and extracurricular. This leaves me only so much time for homework and I am a terrible writer right of the start often forgetting to type words or throwing in random words or stuffs like that. After I get done writing a paper the last thing I want to do is sit there and read over the document and find errors that I often do not find (i am a terrible proofreader as well). Call me lazy but I am looking for some good text to speech software to help me with this problem. As always freeware is preferred but I will pay if the features are right. What I would prefer would be something with in document reading that highlights the word it is currently speaking but at this point anything would be good . Any suggestions.
