HELP ME OUT PLZ!

I have a strange problem, I can't install/unrar any .exe, .cab or Large size .rar without getting [CRC failed] errors!

I can browse the internet, listen to music or run already existencing software/games without problems (I can install small sized software and mini games) but installing new software/extract big rar files is ALWAYS failed!

I've run a memory test CD and I got no errors, and I've run a virus check through Kaspersky Security 7 and Search & Destroy Spybot and all is fine!

I'm going to run a HDD check but I don't think it's the cause so please HELP ME OUT I'M DESPERATE!

my spec:

Intel Quad 6600 2.4Ghz
Gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l Mobo
2GB Kingston RAM
2 x 320GB 7200 WD HDD
GIGABYTE Geforce 8800 GTS
Windows Vista Ultimate

1. What memory test did you run, memtest86?

2. New system with problem from the start or new problem on system once without the problem?

The problem in not in the file, but in WinRar itself:

The solution appears to be "Install the Newest Version"

Yeah I tried memtest86 and there's nothing wrong with the RAM, the system is newly built btw.

I've also tried reinstalling the newest winrar program but no change!

I think this problem is about un-compressing files like .cab, NSIS files mostly (when installing software or games from CD)

But the RAM is ok, the HDD passed the S.M.A.R.T status, and I've installed the latest reliability/compatibility patch for Windows Vista

Please hardware masters help me out!

Assuming that the files you are trying to unzip aren't corrupted, then try a program other than Winrar - Zip Utility 7Z is free, for example.

I tried that, the same thing, a (CRC failed) error!

Could this be related to the Motherboard BIOS by any chance?
